3 WAYS TO WORK IT
The Basics: The long sleeve tee–stores offer it in slightly different colors, necklines, and sleeve lengths each season, but at the end of the day, it’s a basic long sleeve knit t-shirt. Hopefully the ones you own are soft, slim fitting (but not too clingy), and long enough that they come down past the tops of your pants. Maybe they even have a hint of stretch/spandex to help them retain their shape. You may be starting a collection of them in your closet after buying a few each season, but do they feel exciting (and make you feel good about yourself) each time you put one on? As we discussed with the crew neck and turtleneck, the long sleeve tee is a great basic to have in your closet–but you must accessorize! The classic way to wear a long sleeve t-shirt in the winter months is to layer it. Throw it on with some skinny jeans, tall riding boots, a colorful scarf, and puffy vest.
Snowy Afternoon: Layer your long sleeve tee under a cozy cable knit ponch, pair with some skinny corduroys and furry boots, and settle in for a lazy afternoon by the fire (all while looking stylish!).
Holiday Brunch: A tweed pencil skirt dresses up your long sleeve basic tee, and when worn with a chic fur loop and red heels, you’ll stand out from the crowd at your holiday brunch.
