We have been busy working through client’s closets for the past few weeks, showing them new ways to wear what they already have, and arming them with a shopping list so they can go out and fill their closets with Spring classics and trends they might be missing. One item we find ourselves suggesting over and over is the pop color shoe. Yes, blacks and neutrals can go with just about anything, but surprisingly, so can a fun color! Accessories and shoes are a great place where you can experiment with color and pattern. Many of our clients are hesitant that they might not wear a pop colored shoe, but after we show them the numerous outfits it can go with, they are convinced, and can’t wait to go out and find one in their favorite color. Fortunately, this season you can find shoes in every color of the rainbow, and the outfit opportunities with these shoes are endless! We chose the latest shoe trend, the ankle strap, in a bright pink to give you a few ideas on how to wear a pop color shoe.
Pastels: We love a sweet and springtime chic outfit of pastels, but adding a pop color shoe looks unexpected and interesting, even though it doesn’t technically “match” any of the colors in this outfit.
Brights: In our book, all brights go together. Try a daytime dress in a bright color to wear with your pop color shoe. Yes, a neutral or metallic would also work here, but the bright color looks so much more summery and fun!
Black and White: You could stick with the black and white Spring trend with this outfit by wearing a black heel, but by throwing on a turquoise necklace and your pink ankle strap sandal, your outfit will stand out at any evening soiree.
