I love this time of year! Summer is in full swing and my favorite holiday the 4th is right around the corner. It takes me back to playing in the backyard, watching fireworks, and attending all those super yummy cookouts. Well this year I wanted to put together some fun and easy outfits to wear to all those parties with pieces you probably own.
We don’t want you looking like this:
Or this:
Here are some chic, simple, and fab ways to show your patriotic pride.
This is probably my favorite 4th look. Instead of wearing a flag across your body, create your own. I tend to be super casual and always want to be comfortable. Especially at a party or picnic. I love that this look combines some of our faves (think nautical, pattern mixing, pop of color). The boyfriend jeans you most likely own since we talk about them all the time. Pair them with a casual striped tee, and this fun pop of color blazer. Available at H&M (STEAL)! I love my chucks since they go with anything and everything, and ANYONE can wear them. I like to top this look off with a bright yellow necklace to add some depth.
This look is a little dressier but still keeping it cool and casual. Its the 4th after all and most of us will be running around with kids, and family. This understated cotton eyelet skirt is a must have for summer. This cool fabric is super easy to pair with any blouse, or tee shirt. Here I’ve paired it with a red striped tee, a red cross body, and these super cute polka dot Keds! Dots are an easy swap out for stars and are much more chic!
This is what I call a no excuses look. Its easy, fab, and everyone looks good in it. Pair your denim shirt with a pair of red skinnies, and for that final “flag” touch add your navy bib necklace. To pump this look up a notch I paired it with a super fun pair of gold oxfords. It add’s a little bit of flavor to this understated fit. You can literally wear this outfit anywhere. No Excuses!
Remember the trick is to pair red, white and blue with what works for you. You can head to Target, H&M, and my favorite TJ MAXX to put together pieces for these looks. There are no real rules just make sure all your pieces are neutral and not over the top like our gals Carrie and Katy. From our family to yours Happy 4th! Enjoy time with loved ones and think of all those who are serving or have served sacrificing so much, so we could spend this time in bliss.
