Our sale shopping strategy continues! If you missed Monday’s post, be sure to check it out for our tips on how to take advantage of all of the great sales currently happening; without making impulsive mistakes! On Monday, we focused on apparel….today we turn our focus to accessories!
Just to review, we suggest going about sale shopping in the following manner: First, shop by BRAND. Find a brand that you know fits you well, look at the product details for specifics on the piece, and read the reviews (often retailers will only sell super marked down items for final sale – no returns). Second, shop by CATEGORY – have you been looking for the perfect statement necklace to go with several pieces in your closet? have you been on the hunt for the perfect year-round, every day handbag? When shopping for accessories, third is to shop by COLOR (since size is not applicable) – no use sifting through pages and pages of items if you know you’re focused on a particular shade for your accessory piece. Thankfully most retailers websites have filter buttons that can do this work for you! Remember: all of these sales are great deals, so don’t buy something just because it’s 70% off and a great price. Do you love it? Can you think of at least 2-3 pieces in your wardrobe to wear it with? Those are questions you should ask yourself before you buy.
Here are some of our best accessory bets currently on sale….
Handbags
A neutral is always a safe bet to take you into fall! Don’t be afraid to go for a color if there is one that appeals to you. You can treat color like it’s a neutral and wear it with anything! Hint: Emerald Green was named the pantone color of the year for 2013…so this gorgeous hue isn’t going anywhere this fall!
Tory Burch Christopher Kon Cynthia Vincent Rebecca Minkoff See by Chloe
A great pair of metallic sandals is a basic every woman should have in her closet, so by them now, wear them the rest of the summer, and feel confident you’ll be able to wear them next year too! A neutral or metallic flat is a 3 season must-have…or go for one in a fun color you love and treat it like a neutral (just like the handbags). The same goes for heels!

Jewelry
A great statement necklace is a versatile piece you can wear to dress up a t-shirt, or to a wedding with a LBD. Go for it if you find one you love! Have fun with arm candy too.
